On Thursday, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris confirmed the acquisition of two anti-riot vehicles, equipped with a capacity of 5,200 litres of water, aimed at enhancing public safety during escalated protests.
Assistant Commissioner Paula Hilman noted that a total of €3.7m has been invested in public-order equipment over the past two-and-a-half years to bolster the capabilities of the public order unit.
