BlackRock has implemented a five-day return-to-office (RTO) mandate for about 1,000 senior managers, shifting from a four-day policy. This move encourages a 'pull rather than push' strategy, where managers' presence in the office is expected to motivate their teams to join them. While improving collaboration is cited as a reason for this change, experts warn that it is vital for HR to consider employee flexibility needs before implementing strict RTO policies, as varied strategies may be necessary for different companies.
