Dennis Gunn, a 21-year-old dressed as a furry, was assaulted in Adelaideâs Rundle Mall while promoting his interests during the federal election. The attack involved three men who brutally kicked and punched him, accompanied by verbal abuse labeling him a 'paedophile.' Gunn was in the area to spread positivity and take photos with families. After the incident, furry group Ultraviolet expressed outrage over the aggression and offered support to Gunn, who, while shaken, did not require medical treatment. South Australia Police are investigating the assault.
"We were just there, street performing, dressed up in costume, interacting with the public and just taking photos with people. We were just there spreading positivity."
"If you get that mad at somebody you've never seen before for no reason to the point where you'd physically assault them, that's disgusting and you genuinely need to be put into a ward."
