On a busy Saturday at Palisades Tahoe, a young skier was struck by a snowmobile, leading to an evacuation by Care Flight. The child, part of the Mighty Mites ski team, suffered a leg injury near the Big Blue lift during peak times. Ski Patrol quickly responded, taking the child to Renown Medical Center for successful treatment. The ski resort has been in touch with the child's family, and the incident is under investigation. Witness accounts highlight the crowded conditions that contributed to the unfortunate accident.
On March 1, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a collision occurred between a snowmobile and a guest near the Big Blue lift, resulting in a leg injury to the guest. Ski Patrol responded immediately, and Care Flight was called to transport the guest for further treatment.
My partner and friends were at Palisades today. While they were on the lift, they watched a child, approximately age 5, get hit by a snowmobile and dragged.
Our athlete sustained a lower-body injury and was transported to Renown Medical Center, where they underwent successful medical treatment. We have been in regular contact with the child's parents to offer support.
