Suspect in deadly San Francisco hit-and-run pleads not guilty to killing 74-year-old woman
"Prosecutors say surveillance video shows Spillman walking toward the front of the vehicle, taking issue with Amil blocking the sidewalk, and pouring liquid from a water bottle onto the hood."
"Moments later, prosecutors say Amil accelerated into Spillman, knocking her onto the hood and windshield. They say he drove several feet, slowed down, and Spillman slid off the hood before Amil drove over her and left the scene."
Valentino Cash Amil, 30, pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and felony leaving the scene of an accident in the death of 74-year-old Dannielle Spillman. The incident occurred after a confrontation outside a San Francisco gas station, where Spillman allegedly approached Amil's car and poured water on it. Prosecutors claim Amil intentionally hit Spillman with his vehicle, driving over her before fleeing the scene. His defense argues that Amil was trying to protect his family, who were in the car with him.
