Already out on bail for previous felony charges including vandalism, he faces charges for damaging cars over several incidents, including jumping on a car's hood, damaging mirrors and tires, and stomping on a windshield. The District Attorney's Office considers him a public safety risk and has requested that he be denied bail, while Waymo has expressed appreciation for the prosecution of the case.
The man is facing multiple charges of vandalism after allegedly attacking or damaging multiple Waymo cars in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood over the summer.
On July 4, the man jumped on the hood of a Waymo and placed a cone on the car's sensor, resulting in more charges for vandalism.
The defendant damaged a car's tires and driver's side mirror on July 29, and later stomped on a Waymo's windshield with a passenger inside.
