Brent Collom, 49, pleaded no contest to a vehicular manslaughter charge in the death of 40-year-old Michael Thomas, but his sentencing is to-be-determined.
Collom faces sentencing on Aug. 29, where he could receive up to one year in county jail or possibly just probation, according to the court records.
Police indicated Collom drove a BMW into Thomas' motorcycle while legally drunk, resulting in Thomas' death and injuries to a passenger.
Despite being charged with manslaughter and DUI in 2021, Collom has remained out of custody while the case has proceeded through the courts.
