Leon Bailey moved on loan from Aston Villa to AS Roma for the 2025-26 season, with the agreement including an option for Roma to buy. The 28-year-old winger transferred to Villa from Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 for £25m and scored 22 goals across 144 appearances for Villa. Bailey recorded a career-high 14 goals in 52 appearances during the 2023-24 season but managed only two goals in 38 appearances in the most recent campaign. Bailey signed a new contract with Villa in February 2024 that runs until 2027.
