Eberechi Eze: Arsenal sign Crystal Palace forward for 60m
Briefly

Arsenal have completed the signing of England international Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace for £60m, with £8m in potential add-ons, on a long-term contract. The 27-year-old scored 40 goals in 168 appearances for Palace after joining from Queens Park Rangers for £19.5m in 2020. Eze contributed 14 goals and 11 assists in 43 matches last season while operating mainly on the left with a roaming role. He scored the FA Cup final winner on May 17 and produced a run of 12 direct goal involvements in 12 games. He was introduced to fans at the Emirates to a rapturous reception and previously signed a Palace extension until 2027.
"My dream was to play for Arsenal," Eze told Rising Ballers in 2022. "Being released by them was the hardest. "Hearing them say no to me, at 13, that was tough. I remember training after I got released. I couldn't focus - I was just crying. "But that helped me so much in all the other rejections I faced. I thought 'if I can get through Arsenal releasing me, I can get through anything.'"
