Jane Fonda's SAG speech alludes to Trump as traumatized' bully and misogynist
Briefly

In her acceptance speech for the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild, Jane Fonda called on fellow Hollywood actors to confront the Trump administration with empathy. At 87, she underscored empathy as a vital tool in their craft, urging actors to connect deeply with characters, even unsympathetic ones, by understanding their backgrounds. Fonda highlighted the importance of making empathy a vehicle for resistance against Trump’s political movement, asserting that it symbolizes a commitment to caring for others and is not a weakness.
What we, actors, create is empathy... Our job is to understand another human being so profoundly that we can touch their souls. And make no mistake, empathy is not weak or woke.
