Donna Tweeten, the first female president of Hy-Vee, died on April 8 after a diagnosis of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She joined Hy-Vee in 2006 and held various leadership roles, including chief marketing officer. Under her leadership, Hy-Vee doubled in size and established partnerships with notable athletes. Tweeten was also instrumental in launching RedMedia, Hy-Vee's in-house retail media network. After retiring in January 2025, she continued to consult for the company. Her contributions to the retail industry and her mentorship are widely recognized.
