The article emphasizes the importance of design systems in maintaining consistency across applications. While a Monorepo approach offers ease of reuse, it has drawbacks such as lack of version visibility and challenges with bulk package installations. To overcome these issues, a composable design system utilizing independent Bit components is proposed. This allows each component to be versioned and updated independently, enhancing flexibility and efficiency while encouraging collaboration and reuse across projects. Developers can either fork existing components or build their own, streamlining the design workflow.
Design systems provide reusable components that ensure uniformity in both design and functionality, enhancing collaboration and scalability across projects.
