The arrest followed a third-party allegation of sexual and drug-related offences and forms a joint investigation with Hertfordshire Constabulary. Police asked anyone with information to quote reference 8479/22AUG or contact Crimestoppers anonymously. The arrest is understood not to be related to the current rehearsal-stage production of Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC declined to comment on the ongoing investigation. Earlier reports said lawyers were called over cocaine claims and a 2024 review led to welfare measures including a chaperone.
