The fire extinguished itself, damaging 13 vehicles but causing no injuries. Police are tight-lipped about the business involved due to its status as a crime victim and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
The incident happened in the early morning hours of March 3 at an outdoor vehicle storage lot in the area of McCowan and Heritage roads, police said in a news release Thursday.
Video shows a dark, four-door sedan arrive at the lot. Two people dressed in dark clothing get out of the sedan and throw what appears to be an accelerant onto several vehicles before setting them ablaze, police said.
The suspects then get back into the sedan, driven by a third person, and leave the scene. According to police, the fire eventually went out on its own but 13 vehicles were badly damaged.
