Constance Marten's partner claims baby only died because of police manhunt
Briefly

Mark Gordon, the father of a deceased baby, attributed the child's death to a police manhunt during which he and his partner lived off-grid. He argued that if they had not been evading authorities, their baby Victoria, who allegedly died from hypothermia or smothering in a tent, would likely be alive. Gordon described their mental state as deranged, claiming they felt overwhelmed by a perceived harassment from investigators. The couple had previously been living a more stable life in accommodations before the manhunt began.
If it had naturally played out, I believe the baby would still be alive today, 100 percent, because ultimately we would have done the right thing.
We had become deranged a little bit. We were off our heads, Gordon told jurors.
