On February 27, an improvised device containing an accelerant was thrown at a home in Kileely around 9:25 PM, damaging a parked vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Following the incident, the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit conducted a technical examination of the area. Authorities are seeking assistance from the public, specifically looking for eyewitnesses and video footage from anyone traveling through Kileely or Thomondgate between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Investigations are still ongoing, with appeals for information directed to the local garda station and the public at large.
A technical examination of the scene has since been conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.
Investigating gardaí are appealing to anyone with information relating to this incident to come forward.
