An Australian couple faced an unsettling experience on a Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne to Doha when a fellow passenger died mid-flight. Despite attempts to move the deceased woman to business class, the crew ultimately placed her next to Mitchell Ring, who was compelled to sit beside the corpse for approximately four hours. The couple criticized the airline for not having a proper protocol to handle such a distressing situation. Qatar Airways later issued an apology, expressing their condolences to the deceased's family.
Mitchell Ring stated that after the passenger died during the flight, attempts to relocate her were unsuccessful, leading to him being seated next to the corpse.
Jennifer Colin expressed her distress about the lack of protocol regarding passenger care in such unfortunate circumstances, stating, 'There has to be a protocol that looks after the customers on board.'
