Swedish journalist held in Turkey kept 'isolated' from other prisoners
Briefly

Swedish journalist Joakim Medin, arrested in Turkey on terrorism charges, is reportedly in good spirits despite being isolated in Siliviri prison. His employer, Dagens ETC, confirmed he is well-fed and has access to exercise. Medin, who arrived to cover protests against President Erdogan, is facing serious charges, which both he and his newspaper vehemently deny. His legal proceedings are ongoing, and he has reportedly communicated his innocence through a note stating, 'Journalism is not a crime, in any country.'
Medin is 'well fed, he can exercise' but is being held 'isolated' at Siliviri prison, according to his lawyer who met with him.
Dagens ETC published a photo taken by the lawyer with Medin's note stating: 'Journalism is not a crime, in any country.'
Dagens ETC reported that although Medin was not with other detainees, he 'can still speak to other prisoners through the bars'.
The newspaper's chief editor mentioned, 'I believe they were over within minutes when he was brought before the prosecutor.'
