Trump hits UK with 10% tariffs as he ignites global trade war
Briefly

Donald Trump announced a 10% tariff on UK exports to the US, as part of a larger trade conflict affecting various countries including the EU and China. He accused nations of exploiting the US economically, declaring this action a step towards economic independence. Although the UK expected a higher tariff rate, they avoided it due to diplomatic efforts by Keir Starmer. UK officials are exploring economic negotiations and opportunities for their exporters, hoping to secure advantageous terms despite the overarching trade war.
For decades, our country has been looted, pillaged, raped and plundered by nations near and far, both friend and foe alike—it's not going to happen anymore.
This is one of the most important days, in my opinion, in American history. It's our declaration of economic independence.
For years, hard-working American citizens were forced to sit on the sidelines as other nations got rich and powerful, much of it at our expense.
This will be, indeed, the golden age of America. It's coming back, and we're going to come back very strongly.
