A suspect was located in possession of the tool bag in Sunnyvale, but the bike was not located, for a loss valued at approximately $758. The suspect, who was also in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and had an outstanding warrant, was arrested and booked into main jail."
"Sept. 3 Attempted theft by false pretenses: On Sept. 3, a Saratoga resident reported calling a tech support phone number found online and speaking to someone who tried to convince the victim to send money. The victim ultimately realized she was being scammed and did not send any money. Sept. 5 Residential burglary: Between 12:40 p.m. on Sept. 4 and 3:55 p.m. on Sept. 5, someone entered a residence in the 14000 block of Vickery Avenue by breaking a rear glass door. It is unknown if anything was stolen."
