A 25-year-old mother and her 2-year-old child were hospitalized with serious injuries after the mother re-entered the burning home to rescue her child. The home is a total loss, displacing eight residents, and two neighboring homes sustained significant burn damage. Firefighters used ground and aerial attacks with assistance from the Raynham Fire Department. The cause remains under investigation by the Taunton Fire Department, Taunton Police Department, and the State Fire Marshal's Office.
