They attempted the stop near East 14th Street and Bancroft Avenue. Instead of stopping, the Infiniti fled the scene, authorities said."
"Shortly after, the Infiniti collided with the parked vehicle on the 13800 block of Bancroft Avenue. Authorities reported to the scene and found three male occupants in the overturned vehicle, they said. The front seat passenger was pronounced deceased on scene, authorities said. The vehicle's driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition, and the rear passenger was transported to be evaluated."

The Infiniti fled instead of stopping, and the officer did not pursue while the vehicle was monitored by an Alameda County Sheriff's Department air unit. The Infiniti traveled north on Bancroft Avenue and shortly after collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle on the 13800 block, overturning. Responding officers found three male occupants; the front-seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was hospitalized in critical condition, the rear passenger was evaluated, and authorities are investigating the driver for alleged DUI and other charges. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
