The Science Island Museum, designed by SMAR Architecture Studio, is situated on Nemunas Island in Kaunas and spans 15,000 sqm. It aims to blend with the existing topography, enabling seamless interaction with the surrounding environment. The innovative roof design features native vegetation and serves as informal public viewing areas, enhancing public engagement with the park. The museum is divided into two zones: one for public exhibitions and the other for scientific functions, both promoting natural light and environmental awareness as key components of its educational mission.
