Nintendo has announced significant changes to its eShop loyalty programs, specifically the Gold Points scheme, which will cease to reward points for digital purchases after March 25, 2025. Pre-orders made before this date will still accrue points even if payment is processed later. Meanwhile, registration of physical Game Cards will continue to earn points for eligible titles. The company has made adjustments to the Switch Game Vouchers, but details were less extensive. Customers will have a one-year window to redeem any accumulated points before they expire.
From March 25, 2025, customers will no longer earn Gold Points when making digital purchases from Nintendo eShop and the official Nintendo website.
Pre-orders for digital titles from Nintendo eShop or the official Nintendo website made up to and including March 24, 2025, will still earn Gold Points regardless of the game's release date.
