Square Enix's iconic Final Fantasy video game characters are being reimagined as collectible cards in the Magic: The Gathering universe. A livestream announced that eight Commander cards, including notable figures like Cloud and Tidus, will be available in MTG Arena, which is unusual for Commander sets. The decks, scheduled for a June 13 release, will creatively narrate stories from Final Fantasy titles VI, VII, X, and XIV while introducing new mechanics to the game.
