GOG has announced a new preservation program aimed at ensuring a selection of older games run smoothly on modern hardware, with 100 titles selected at launch.
Maciej Gołębiewski stated, 'These releases embody our work: reviving games built on outdated, bespoke tech that original creators can no longer maintain.'
GOG promises that games in this program will be 'always up to date and ready to run' on current and future setups, including tech support.
Marcin Paczyński emphasized that the program 'will not bring immediate changes to the pricing,' focusing instead on enhancing the gaming experience.
