Atari is set to release a new rendition of its classic game Breakout, titled Breakout Beyond, this March. This new version promises to challenge players through a horizontal gameplay experience, requiring them to breach levels creatively. The game includes 72 levels and allows for two-player co-op mode, developed by Choice Provisions, known for Bit.Trip games. Originally announced in 2020 for the Intellivision Amico, Atari has now acquired the project and aims to deliver a fresh spin on the beloved brick-breaking formula.
