Ring has established itself as the predominant brand for video doorbells, much like how Kleenex represents facial tissues. Its marketing is so pervasive that whenever video doorbells are mentioned, Ring is almost always the first name that comes to mind.
One major downside to Ring products is that many of the appealing features are locked behind a subscription plan. This limits options for customers who might prefer alternative brands that allow for more flexibility without additional costs.
I tested the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro and found that while it is marketed as a superior product, the distinctions between it and the Doorbell Plus are subtle, with only minor physical differences and one or two unique features that may not significantly impact user experience.
The Low Light Sight feature on the Battery Doorbell Pro stands out as a highlight. It enhances visibility in low-light conditions, making it easier to see what’s happening outside during times of poor lighting.
