Upon returning home, I experienced overwhelming physical symptoms like jaw clenching and difficulty controlling my tongue. Coupled with the demands of my professional life—giving multiple talks as a newly published author—these pressures compounded, leading to the misassumption of potential TMJ disorder. My experience reflects the intricate relationship between emotional turmoil and physical health during a time of crisis.
Despite an immense personal crisis marked by both the devastation of Hurricane Ian and my recovery from COVID-19, I find myself seeking balance amid chaos.
