Behind the Design of a Brooklyn Townhouse Where Even the Shed Doors Have Character
Briefly

Isobel Herbold, alongside her partner Palmer Thompson-Moss at their design firm Salle, revitalized a townhouse in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. They began with a backyard renovation that included salvaged materials and traditional construction techniques. The interior updates followed, restoring original elements like windows and shutters while incorporating modern living spaces. Their design emphasized both functionality and charm, demonstrating a commitment to honoring the home's historical character. The clients' connection to the space and appreciation for craftsmanship inspired these thoughtful renovations, highlighting a harmonious blend of past and present in home design.
