Forbici Academy / Hargar Studio
Briefly

The Forbici Academy project involves the renovation of an existing, densely built structure in La Plata. By implementing minimal interventions, the design respects and values the building's heritage while introducing modern changes. An internal patio creates a central point for light and circulation, complemented by a new façade made of glass bricks. The design also features flexible and visually engaging interior spaces, aimed at supporting mixed-use hairdressing salons and an academy. This thoughtful approach successfully revitalizes the property, fostering community and creativity.
The Forbici Academy revitalizes a central La Plata building by creating an internal courtyard and a translucent façade, allowing air and light to flow.
A minimal intervention approach values existing structures, including exposed brick walls and vaults, forming spaces that are both functional and visually dynamic.
The renovation includes mixed-use spaces on the ground and upper floors, integrating hair salons and an academy, fostering a creative and communal environment.
With new design strategies, The Forbici Academy transforms a historically dense property into an airy environment that enhances light, movement, and functionality.
