Russet House / Mulroy Architects
Briefly

Located in Crouch End, North London, this renovated Victorian house showcases the power of thoughtful architectural design. Originally suffering from poorly planned extensions that isolated its rooms, the house has been transformed into a light-filled home with five bedrooms. The central atrium and a striking russet-colored steel staircase enhance the home's flow and connectivity. With a focus on natural light, the design incorporates south-facing skylights and thoughtful spatial configurations to create an adaptable living space suitable for a growing family.
The project demonstrates how innovative design can restore character and coherence to a neglected home while seamlessly integrating modern aesthetics with historical charm.
By introducing a central atrium and a striking red staircase, the architects not only improved the spatial flow but also enriched the home’s overall aesthetic experience.
