The RG Rotate will run on Android, feature an aluminum alloy frame and come in Polar Black and Aurora Silver. Anbernic's video detailed that the handheld will have a 'proprietary ultra-thin alloy hinge' that went through 'high-durability testing.'

The RG GO1, which doesn't have a price or specific release date yet, features a 2.5-inch IPS LCD screen in the center of the controller. This can be used for various tasks, including reprogramming buttons and turning on rapid fire settings. The just-revealed controller also includes heartbeat sensors in the grips. Why? Anbernic says it will let you "monitor your well-being during intense sessions."

The RG G01 won't be the first controller with a built-in screen. Companies like Turtle Beach already offer them. While a display adds to the cost, it lets gamers adjust settings, program macros that automatically trigger a series of button presses, and remap controls, without having to leave a game and connect to a mobile or desktop app. The RG G01 has four customizable buttons on the back that can be reconfigured using the display.

After remaking every Game Boy model imaginable, Anbernic is ready to take on the next frontier of classic gaming handhelds: the Nintendo DS. In its usual drip-feed fashion, the handheld maker released a teaser video revealing the Anbernic RG DS. The company didn't offer many details for its Nintendo DS clone, but announced that it would cost less than $100.

Anbernic's RG Slide handheld is criticized for focusing too much on novelty while failing to leverage successful design insights from nostalgic devices like the PSP Go.
