Efforts by the French capital's mayor Anne Hidalgo to reduce pollution by creating 180km of cycling lanes in the city, as well as investments for the 2024 Paris Olympics have catapulted the French capital to the top of a list of 36 European cities in terms of their cycling infrastructure's suitability for younger cyclists.
