BOROUGH PARK - A fire inside a Borough Park building left six civilians and one firefighter injured on Wednesday, Jan. 28. The blaze started at 8:50 a.m. on the second floor of the building. FDNY said 21 units and 79 firefighters and EMS workers were at the scene. The fire was put out at 10:10 a.m. One person is in critical condition while five civilians and a firefighter sustained minor injuries.

A 6-year-old boy is clinging to life after he was struck by a Hatzolah ambulance in Brooklyn Saturday morning, according to police sources. The ambulance driver was heading west on 52nd St. around 10:34 a.m., striking the child near 52nd St. and 15th Ave. in Borough Park, cops said. EMS transported the child to Maimonides Medical Center where he was in critical condition. No arrests were made.

BROOKLYN, NY - Four people were injured in a five-alarm fire that ripped through a Borough Park bakery in the early morning hours of Wednesday, FDNY officials said. The blaze sparked on the first floor of 1285 36th St., between Clara Street and 13th Avenue about 2 a.m., according to the FDNY. The flames quickly spread to the rear of the two-story building. FDNY firefighters were still battling the blaze as of this morning, officials said.

In a troubling incident in Borough Park, a woman attacked a 41-year-old victim with a stroller in front of P.S. 180, and then fled the scene.

The building lacked windows for ventilation purposes, making the fire tougher for our members to fight. The department store had a lot of stock, which intensified the situation.
