"This investment reflects our long-term commitment to both our people and the Harrisburg community," said Bill Craig, Founder/CEO, WebFX. "As we continue to grow, we're excited to create new career opportunities, invest in our team's development, and further establish Harrisburg as a hub for innovation and digital marketing excellence."
The New River Gorge's moist, shaded forests are an ideal habitat for flowers that color the hillsides in April and early May, making it an excellent time to see the gorge in bloom.
"Today's vote ignores the well-documented harmful consequences of wage hikes by economists. Not only would this proposal slash up to 86,000 jobs, it would also worsen inflation for Pennsylvania workers and residents."
The Meandering Mallard Coffee House in Millheim features a back patio surrounded by greenery, creating a secluded atmosphere for outdoor telework. The rustic vibe inside complements the outdoor experience.
It's been wonderful to watch our industry blossom and come into its own. We started out with a handful of small cocktail-focused bars sprinkled throughout different pockets of the city that were trying to stand out among longstanding dive bars and bustling restaurant bars. But they've now burst onto the national map. My favorite thing, though, is that all of this growth still has something very beautifully Philadelphia to it.
I was wandering through West Asheville one day, past vintage storefronts and sun-washed sidewalks, when I noticed a doorway overflowing with green. Ferns spilled outward, vines climbed the windows.
The understanding that we have reached when we've talked about it, to the extent we've talked about it at all, is that The Distraction should try to be a good hang even in bad times. This is dependent, of course, on the extent to which Drew and I are capable of managing that, and also relative to how bad the times in question are.
We had friends from different parts of life. There were my college friends, Brad's coworkers with whom he was close, friends we made in our apartment complex and at church, and even friends we met online through our first dog, Moe. We consider ourselves very grateful to have had such a positive experience living in D.C.
At issue is a narrow 10-foot-wide peninsula, a comically small spit of land along the Shapiros' property line that broadens slightly into a small chunk of someone's backyard. Whose yard depends on whom you ask. On paper, the land belongs to the Mocks. But the Shapiros, seeking to build a security fence, have claimed in court to have squatters' rights, a longtime feature of property law.
Football is woven into the very fabric of this region, and the Immaculate Reception Weekend is our tribute to that enduring legacy. It is a celebration of the game's history and its heroes, thoughtfully designed to bring people together through powerful storytelling, meaningful connection, and the elevated hospitality for which we are known.
Whitetail Resort is located in Central Pennsylvania and is a legit hidden gem for skiers and snowboarders in the mid-Atlantic region. This ski resort gets seriously underestimated by many. I was travelling from one resort to another, and Whitetail was on the way to my next destination. I almost didn't go because I was on the road for two weeks straight, but I'm so glad I did-it's way better than I expected.
Abingdon is easy to access just off Interstate 81. This little town has many charms-from its 20-block historic district to the 34-mile Virginia Creeper Trail. Add to that a thriving creative community, exceptional dining at The Tavern (the state's oldest bar), and homey accommodations, and you have a pretty darn close to perfect Blue Ridge Mountain getaway destination.
Vermont actually resembles California - not because of its beaches but due to its distinct regions. For example, Burlington correlates to the Bay Area. And in the Northeast Kingdom, where I grew up, we classified everything below White River Junction as 'Southern Vermont.' Down there, half the towns seem to channel Boston or New York City, kind of like Santa Barbara to L.A., which makes the Kingdom something like Humboldt County - rural and spectacular, with a recalcitrant outlaw streak.
There's still nearly 2 months until the end of winter and the start of spring, but one Pennsylvania ski resort is already stating their intentions for what they hope will be their longest season in their history. A Mountain Update from Camelback Resort VP & General Manager Jason Bays discussed their plans for the spring. Right now, Camelback is planning to keep skiing and snowboarding going daily until April 12th, but it hopefully won't end there.
Running between New York City and Pittsburgh, Amtrak's Pennsylvanian route shows travelers a side of Pennsylvania most who fly or drive miss. Passengers aboard the train weave past rivers, tree-lined hills, Amish Country, and historic rail towns that rarely get the spotlight. It's less about getting somewhere fast and more about watching the landscape change mile by mile, from urban neighborhoods to the rolling Allegheny Mountains, without ever leaving the seat.
Special Olympics focuses on athletes with intellectual disabilities, emphasizing that they want the same opportunities as everyone else (friends, jobs, independence) without social barriers. The organization helps remove obstacles to let athletes thrive. SOPA is all about the athletes and their remarkable resilience under challenging conditions. One remarkable fact about the athletes with intellectual disabilities is that they want to seek normalcy, inclusion, and the same opportunities as anyone else. They are not looking for "special" treatment or lowered expectations from people.
Mount Airy isn't trying to be everywhere else-and that's exactly why it stands out. It offers a true sense of place, rooted in tradition but evolving with purpose, where the pace slows down just enough to remind you what travel is supposed to feel like.
The slopes should be a place of peace and happiness, with competition going no further than races or games of slvsh. And yet somehow violent fights still manage to happen. This battle, captured at Pennsylvania's Blue Mountain Resort, keeps the skiers versus snowboarders debate alive and well. It's not clear what led to the encounter, but the first split second of the clip make it seem like the snowboarder approached the skier, only to immediately be tossed to the ground.
"Today, another kind of treasure typically lures travelers to Franklin, though, one found among the trails, waterfalls, and scenic byways of the community. Surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest, and a gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains, Franklin is closely tied to the Appalachian Trail, and became the first designated Appalachian Trail Community in 2010, welcoming travelers with open arms."
