I think Pavlovic has improved the most, at least in my opinion. He was already a promising player. De Winter is certainly reliable, even if he needs to improve in some situations, but when you achieve reliability, you are halfway there. It's a job that Max and his staff know how to do well.

When looking at Gareth McAuley's signing at face value, it was an addition that appeared pretty underwhelming.
