A warehouse storing fireworks exploded Tuesday evening in Yolo County, sparking a vegetation fire and triggering evacuations, authorities said. The Oakdale Fire was reported just after 6 p.m. near County Road 23 and County Road 86A in the community of Esparto, according to Cal Fire.

A terrible explosion of fireworks in the store of Lincoln & Company occurred, blowing out the front of the building and causing fear of loss of life.

The blast occurred at Shanzhou Fireworks Co, located near the city of Changde, Hunan Province, shortly before 8:30am on Monday, state-run Xinhua News Agency said on Tuesday.
