Teenager arrested in relation to murder investigation of Tipperary man Ian Walsh

Mr Walsh (49) was discovered in his home in Carrick-on-Suir on Monday, August 4, when family members and neighbours went to check on him after becoming concerned for his welfare. Gardaí are treating the death of Mr Walsh as murder following the results of a post mortem examination at University Hospital Waterford (UHW). This morning gardaí arrested a man, aged in his late teens, in relation to the investigation. The male is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Clare-Tipperary Division.
