2-in-1 devices combine tablet and laptop functionalities, but often favor one over the other.
General Manager Jiang Chao confirmed in a Weibo post that the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will launch in China in April or May 2026. Chao claimed that the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro 'is amazing! It will definitely not disappoint you.'
Archie is a small arch-shaped piece that essentially bridges the two sticks on your controller. It's not a Bluetooth gadget loaded with firmware updates or a subscription service. It's just a clever piece of physical design that does exactly what it needs to do and nothing more.
The PS5 Pro is getting the biggest price increase of all. The console launched in 2024 with a $700 price tag. In August 2025, it, along with other PS5 consoles, got a price increase, with the Pro jumping to $750. And next week, it leaps up to $900, which represents a $200 price increase in two years.
The handheld features a 4.88-inch display with a resolution of 1080 × 1620 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio. This format is particularly appealing for retro gaming because it better accommodates older console titles that do not match modern widescreen displays. The panel is also noticeably sharper than the screen used in some competing handhelds, such as the Ayaneo Pocket Micro, which uses a smaller 3.5-inch display with a lower resolution.
Nintendo's Switch 2 Pro controller committed the one cardinal sin no gamepad should ever perpetrate: it made me lose. Nintendo's $90 first-party controller exclusive to the Switch 2 has large, snappy stickstoo snappy, in fact. Flicking the joystick from one side and releasing it will cause it to flick back so fast that the gamepad will register an input in the opposite direction.
"We believe that gamers want to find new content that is personalized to them," said the VP of Samsung Games Services. He continued: "We want to bring content to users and make it immediately available for them to play. We have instant plays where, through our cloud streaming technology, we can take Android-native games and put them in the cloud, so that when users want to try them, they don't have to go through the friction of downloading them first."
The PSP had one analog stick when games clearly needed two. The Vita added that second stick but inexplicably skipped analog triggers and clickable thumbsticks, forcing developers to map essential controls to an awkward rear touchpad. The PS Portal finally nailed the controls by essentially splitting a DualSense controller in half, then rendered the achievement mostly irrelevant by making it stream-only.
The RG GO1, which doesn't have a price or specific release date yet, features a 2.5-inch IPS LCD screen in the center of the controller. This can be used for various tasks, including reprogramming buttons and turning on rapid fire settings. The just-revealed controller also includes heartbeat sensors in the grips. Why? Anbernic says it will let you "monitor your well-being during intense sessions."
