Capper ran from the car while throwing small bags of white powder away from him. A drug addict was "covered in cocaine" when gardai caught him fleeing from his car after a high-speed chase across the city, a court has heard. On January 3, Scott Capper (37) drove at speed across the north Dublin suburbs of Sutton, Howth and Baldoyle.

The Clovis Police Department wrote on social media that the 26-year-old Fresno man fled "multiple times at speeds over 130 mph" on both city streets and on Highway 168. The pursuit, which also included the California Highway Patrol, took place on Sept. 5 and began after the man was spotted speeding through Clovis on a green Kawasaki motorcycle, police said.

The fatal crash happened around 4:25 a.m. on October 17, 2021, when Nolasco sped southbound in a white Mercedes on Third Avenue. NYPD officers attempted to pull him over, but he refused to stop, running multiple red lights as police chased him at speeds up to 80 miles per hour. At the intersection of 60th Street, Nolasco blew through another red light and T-boned a Nissan Altima driven by 42-year-old James Lopez, who was driving lawfully through the intersection.

During the chase, police said the BMW reached speeds of around 130 mph to avoid troopers.

The incident has reignited discussions on the appropriateness of high-speed police chases, following the death of an innocent pedestrian during one such pursuit.

Troopers in New Hampshire arrested a 22-year-old man after he was seen driving a Corvette at speeds of 140 mph, resulting in multiple charges.

The incident began shortly after 7:45 p.m. in the Orange County city when officers responded to a shooting at a motel in the 300 block of North Brookhurst Street.

A 29-year-old Newburyport man was arrested after police found him asleep at the wheel on I-495, subsequently leading them on a high-speed chase.
