Kanye West sold out Inglewood, California's SoFi Center and took in a reported $33 million less than a year since he released a song called 'Heil Hitler.' West's apology for his antisemitism was evidently enough for his LA fans, and no doubt some went because of the antisemitism.

In the fourth season of Industry, everyone has a story to sell: a neutered fund or loveless marriage, shamed husbands, a life aimless after retirement, a payment-processing firm hampered by its ties to porn and sex work. These labels seem to indicate mistaken priorities or misplaced trust. But they are just narratives to be refined or redefined. Everything is up for grabs if you tell the right story.

I can't say it feels great and I can't say that it makes me happy. It just makes me feel peculiar. It's just a movie, at the end of the day. It's just supposed to be an action movie about a guy trying to get his daughter back. And, what I see every day, it weighs heavy on my heart for the world.

Institutionally, we still don't understand what inclusion means. Others noticed the street closures on Tuesday, as heavy rains pummeled the small city. And a few, biking on the bluffs overlooking Wavecrest Beach on Wednesday, stumbled across a film crew clustered under a row of canopies, complete with a camera crane and several generators.

Hollywood is in trouble. The streaming boom that fueled a ton of production in the last decade-plus is gone, and lots of the remaining work is going overseas. No one really knows how AI will affect the movie and TV business, but there's lots of fear it won't be good. And barring something truly surprising, Warner Bros., one of Hollywood's most important movie and TV studios, is going to get swallowed up in the next year or so, which will mean even more consolidation.

Casting as an artistic discipline has been around in its current form for decades, despite the proliferation of Zoom and self-tapes. Meticulous research, intuition, collaboration, and creative ability to expand on the filmmakers' vision all go into the casting process. We see no reason IndieWire can't retroactively reward that effort - albeit with no statues or acceptance speeches, unfortunately - to build a sense of what could have been a list of the Best Casting Award Winners for the first quarter of the 21st Century.
