Samsung has confirmed the launch of its next Galaxy M series budget phone in India. The Galaxy M17 5G will succeed the Galaxy M16, which was unveiled in February this year. The Galaxy M17 5G is coming to India on October 10, the company confirmed via social media. Alongside revealing the launch date, Samsung has also shared some key specs of the upcoming M series phone.

These devices are available to purchase in the country via popular e-commerce platforms They can also be bought at select offline retail stores. Notably, TPV or TP Vision is a wholly owned subsidiary of TPV Technology based in Amsterdam, which develops, manufactures, and markets Philips-branded electronic items like TVs and audio products in select international markets.
It will be priced exactly the same as its predecessor was when it launched last year. You can get the model with 128GB of storage for INR 59,999, the 256GB version for INR 65,999, and the 512GB iteration for INR 77,999. For a limited time, Samsung is offering a storage upgrade for free, but not for the cheapest price. So you can pay INR 65,999 and instead of getting 256GB of storage you will have 512GB, but not 256GB for the price of 128GB.
Back in February at MWC, Tecno first presented its Spark Slim concept phone, which was just 5.75mm thick, in a bid to preempt Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge and the iPhone 17 Air. However, Tecno's device still hasn't launched, while the S25 Edge is official. That, however, will change soon. Tecno is now apparently planning to bring its slimmest phone to date to India.
