AI productivity tools often omit undo (Cmd+Z), despite it being a long-established, widely understood editing primitive across decades of software.
Microsoft is "streamlining" access to Copilot within its productivity applications and updating the keyboard shortcut to activate the assistant. "We heard from many of you that you're unsure how to start engaging with Copilot," the company says, though it did not elaborate on where it had heard this. On its Microsoft 365 Copilot feedback forum, the top-voted request was for more granular agent availability controls.
We all know the feeling: the deadline is approaching, and the project still needs significant tweaks. Over time, I've realized that Adobe Captivate is a powerful beast, but taming it requires efficient habits. I wanted to share 5 simple workflow tips that help me save hours on development. I find myself in the Python REPL a lot. I open up the REPL to play with an idea, to use Python as a calculator or quick and dirty text parsing tool, to record a screencast, to come up with a code example for an article, and (most importantly for me) to teach Python. My Python courses and workshops are based largely around writing code together to guess how something works, try it out, and repeat.
While experimenting with Copilot in VS Code, I must have hit a special key combo or held my mouth wrong because VS Code unexplainedly took over my entire screen with no system tray or even the icons to shrink / full size / close at the top of the screen. I don't want to repeat this experience. Can anyone suggest how I can avoid it (other than not use VS Code)?
