Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is not expected to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts because of a foot injury suffered last weekend, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler. Veteran backup Jacoby Brissett would start in Murray's place at Lucas Oil Stadium, where Brissett played from 2017-2020. Murray only practiced Friday after injuring his foot in a loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Murray appeared to sustain the injury in the third quarter of their Week 5 game with the Tennessee Titans on a bizarre play on which a shotgun snap hit him in the face, resulting in a fumble recovery for Tennessee. The Cardinals committed a series of errors as they surrendered a 21-3 lead to lose 22-21 at home to the previously winless Titans.

Every recent first-round draft pick on the offensive side of the ball played a major role in their win this weekend. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. had his best game of the season, throwing for 313 yards and two TDs on the way to a 126 quarterback rating. Wide receiver Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts had season-highs in receiving yards while each catching a touchdown. And of course, running back Bijan Robinson had 181 scrimmage yards and a TD.

Murray took down the Instagram post from Tuesday after seeing blowback online and expressed empathy to those who took offense to the post. "In no way, shape or form do I condone animal cruelty or dog fighting," Murray said during his weekly news conference. Murray said he wore the jersey, which he sported before Sunday's win over the Carolina Panthers, because he grew up admiring Vick. Murray has two American Pit Bull Terriers, named Swoosh and Trunks. The Chicago Blackhawks used one of their three first round picks last draft on Mason West, a high schooler from Minnesota that played in the USHL. West is a two sport athlete and plays as his high school's quarterback on the football team as well. In his football season opener he threw for four touchdowns. It's a cool story, but should the Blackhawks and their fans be worried? We're not talking about injuries as much as commitment.
