EAGAN, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings' charter plane experienced mechanical issues shortly after takeoff Saturday afternoon and returned to Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport, a team spokesman confirmed. Players, coaches and staff planned to board a second plane later Saturday afternoon, or early evening, and arrive Saturday night in Newark, New Jersey, ahead of their game Sunday afternoon against the New York Giants.
