The game's hand-animated sprites moved with a fluidity that polygon games couldn't touch, and the humor, panicking soldiers, grateful POWs tossing rocket launchers, a tank that waddled like a toy, made the whole thing feel alive in a way that pure technical showmanship never quite manages.

Like those games, it takes place in an open-world Gotham with Bruce gliding and grappling around as he finds thugs to beat up and Riddler puzzles to solve. When he's on the ground, the mini-figure Batman rides around on a motorcycle and in the Batmobile, and in combat, he throws almost rhythmic punches, kicks, and parries like he does in the games.

The 2026 box office is up and running with Sam Raimi and someone from YouTube topping the weekend charts. But the people are still heading out to see the likes of Marty Mauser, Judy Hopps, and the late-2025 contingent of films. Both and Avatar: Fire and Ash continue to add on to their exorbitant box-office totals, making me wonder if we should add one more bonus threshold next year for $400 million. Will ponder!

This hyperrealistic toy vehicle set comes together with a total of 1579 pieces. It's not exactly a small build, as it focuses on tiny details that matter. The set is great for Star Wars fans of all ages, whether it's kids just getting started or adults who know every line of dialogue by heart. Minifigures include Darth Jar Jar, Bounty Hunter C-3PO, Darth Dev, Darth Rey, Beach Luke, and Jedi Vader.

The upcoming science fiction film Project Hail Mary is getting a LEGO set. This is fascinating because LEGO typically makes sets based on long-standing franchises like Star Wars and Harry Potter. Project Hail Mary doesn't even hit theaters until March 20. It's not an entirely new IP. The movie is based on a 2021 book written by Andy Weir, the same author behind The Martian. It's cool to see a LEGO set based on something more contemporary than its usual fare.
