Rex Navarrete has been one of the leading Filipino stand-up comedians on the circuit for years. A comedian's comedian, he's performed alongside George Lopez, Ali Wong, and Robin Williams. His brand of "Pinoy" humor touches on his life as a Filipino, but all cultures are able to appreciate the themes of his jokes. After all, laughter is one of the great ways to connect with any human. His bit "What are Filipinos" will make anyone laugh hysterically.

Welcome to The HellaFunny Olympics where the best San Francisco comedians go head-to-head against the best Oakland comedians in a classic Battle of the Bay. Teams of comedians representing their city will engage in an epic joke off, trading jokes back and forth until one bombs and is eliminated. Individual comics stay as long as each joke lands. The semifinals consist of your favorite comedians of the night facing off against each other. The last comic standing will win the coveted championship belt for their city! They also get a chance to gain residency at The Function Comedy Club.

Fronted by Josh Turner (Guitar/Lead Vocals), with Autumn Evans on Bass and Aubrey Blount on Drums, FRIEND has been making music since 2021.
