New Yorkers don't typically associate Penn Station with holiday magic-more like sprinting for the right train track with a coffee in one hand. But, this December, the city's busiest transit hub is getting a surprisingly cozy glow-up with its first-ever Penn Station Holiday Market, turning the main Amtrak concourse into a four-day shopping detour you may actually want to get there early for.

Here we bring together local merchants, artisans and bakers to get a jump on the holiday season,

Celebrate Día de los Muertos and Halloween at Mission Community Market on Thursday, October 31. Stock up on fall produce, support local farms and food businesses, and join us in celebrating our Mission community. The market will be extra festive with family activities, live music, and more. Support your favorite Mission Community Market sellers and pick up locally grown flowers, such as marigolds from Medrano's Flowers, and ofrenda food items from local food crafters, such as pan dulce from Norte54.

By the time tropical dream pop group Caicedo hit the stage at 6:30 pm, nearly every complimentary squiggly straw had found its way into the hands of eager festivalgoers swaying to the band's irresistible Latin grooves and hazy, late summer hooks. In beautifully all-ages PDX Pop Now! fashion, the crowd consisted of scene kids with purple hair nodding their heads, as well as children with giant earmuffs jumping up and down alongside their bigs.

Rainbow Grocery Cooperative will celebrate 50 years in business on August 17, 2025, with a community block party featuring live music, food, and giveaways.
