The crash happened on the R495 Nenagh to Dromineer Road, near Nenagh, at about 9pm on Tuesday. A section of the road remained closed yesterday. Ms Kennedy was the driver of one of the cars and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

A woman has been charged with murder after the death of a pensioner on Christmas Day. Stefania Glowka, 63, is accused of killing Tamara Glowka, who was in her 80s.
